Amera Manzoor Rahman, MD

Dr Amera Manzoor Rahman is board certified psychiatrist. After receiving her psychiatry training from Rosalind Franklin hospital, she got her child and adolescent psychiatry training from TUFTS University in Boston. Since graduating from this very specialized and intensive training program, which also involved training at Harvard University, she started her career as faculty of University of Chicago. Later she moved to Private sector. She has worked in most intense inpatient hospitals and has vast experience of treating both adults and children. She specializes in ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s Disorder, Tourette Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Abuse/Trauma, phobias and panic disorders, both in adults and children.

She believes families are integral part of child development and also essential part of treatment of any psychiatric illness. Families are always welcome to be part of treatment of children or adults. Due to her warm demeanor and pleasant personality, patients always develop close bonds with her. With her extensive experience, strong knowledge of all current medical practices and medications and empathic nature she has successfully treated hundreds of patients.
