Introduction:
Annie is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Northwestern University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before pursuing
counseling, Annie worked as a television news and sports producer, an experience that strengthened her appreciation for diverse perspectives and the resilience of the human
spirit.
Therapeutic Approach:
Annie takes a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy, grounded in the
belief that healing begins within a safe and trusting relationship. She recognizes that
each client’s story is shaped by their environment, relationships, and lived experiences.
With patience and curiosity, she supports clients in exploring their emotions, patterns,
and strengths at their own pace. Her work emphasizes creating a validating and
supportive space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to make
meaningful change.
Specialization: Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, life transitions, self-esteem,
relationships, and stress.
Currently Working With: Children, adolescents, adults, and older adults of all genders
and backgrounds.
Theoretical Lens: Annie’s therapeutic framework integrates psychodynamic, person-
centered, and relational behavioral approaches, informed by trauma-sensitive and
systemic perspectives. She tailors her work to meet the unique needs of each client in
the present moment. Viewing therapy as a collaborative process, Annie is dedicated to
fostering resilience, deepening self-awareness, and supporting clients in moving toward
growth and lasting change.
