Introduction:
Jessica is a therapy intern who received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago. She has a wide variety of experience, ranging from hospital psychological services to running anxiety-focused ballroom dance groups.
Therapeutic Approach:
I believe that every person’s story is meaningful, and therapy is a space where that story can be heard and explored. With experience working with individuals across all stages of life, I approach therapy with warmth and curiosity. Rooted in my Polish heritage, I value the role that culture, family, and identity play in shaping our inner world.
I like to use a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a psychoanalytic lens, and Family Systems to help clients explore their experiences and conflicts.
When working with younger children, I utilize play therapy and movement therapy to build a safe, engaging, and comfortable environment.
Specialization and Clinical Interests:
Anxiety, Depression, coping strategies, disordered eating, body image, mood disorders, OCD, and relationship/couples dynamics/communication
Currently working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families
