Kaitryn Taylor is a Counseling Intern from Northwestern University, where she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from John Carroll University in 2011, and has experience working in group counseling, child development and education, and military family leadership.

Kaitryn believes in the counseling profession’s ability to promote growth, wellness, and empowerment through an individual’s lifelong development. This will be done by incorporating theory, technique, acquired skills, assessments, and diagnosis, so as to treat her clients to achieve the best possible results. Most importantly, Kaitryn believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to provide the space for transformative healing. She is eager to help all members of the community access the tools to live healthier, happier lives.

Kaitryn’s Master’s program is accredited through CACREP. She is a member of The American Counseling Association, The Counselors for Social Justice, and The Military and Government Counseling Association.

In her free time, Kaitryn enjoys doing yoga, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys learning about social justice and peaceful parenting approaches.
