Karly Tyree, BA

Background 

Karly received her undergraduate degree from Butler University in Elementary Education. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in clinical mental Health counseling at the Illinois Insititute of Technology and is completing her practicum at Progressive Psychological Healthcare. 

She has worked with children in a variety of ways, most recently as a kindergarten teacher, which allowed her to support students struggling with social/emotional skills, as well as parents and families. She is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative space for individuals of all ages to explore their experiences, build insight, and move toward meaningful change. She recognizes the importance of meeting people where they are and tailoring support to meet each person’s needs and goals. 

Therapeutic Approach

Karly utilized an integrative approach to therapy—meeting clients with empathy and curiosity using CBT, person-centered, and strengths-based techniques.
