Tanya (She/Hers) is a pre-licensed therapist currently pursuing her Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bard College. Tanya brings clinical experience from hospital, community health and private practice settings, where she has supported clients across the lifespan. Her work has included supporting individuals navigating severe and chronic mental health conditions, as well as those experiencing relational, transitional, and identity-related challenges.
Therapeutic Approach
Tanya’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that a trusting, collaborative relationship is the foundation for meaningful healing and growth. She emphasizes a non-pathologizing, person-centered framework that honors each individual’s unique experiences, history, and cultural contexts. Tanya approaches therapy with deep respect for the complexity of identity and is attentive to the impact of intersectional and systemic factors on emotional well-being.
Tanya works to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore vulnerability, develop insight, and connect with their innate strengths. She is committed to fostering agency and ongoing consent within the therapeutic process, and adapts her approach in response to each person’s needs, preferences, and responses in session.
Tanya values curiosity, attunement, and presence in her work. She is especially passionate about supporting clients in cultivating self-understanding, navigating life transitions, and building a more integrated sense of self and connection to others.
