Thomas Czapiewski, LCPC, CADC

Tom is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois and is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has been trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). He obtained his Masters degree in Human Services from National Louis University.
 
Tom has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with daily stressors, depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, financial difficulties, and compromised health issues. In addition to working in a large agency, he has previous experience in medically assisted substance treatment programs as well as private practice.
 
Tom believes the therapeutic alliance between the client and therapist are a centerpiece to a positive outcome. He believes in collaborating with the client as a partner to obtain the clients goals. Tom incorporates therapeutic modalities, as appropriate, that best meet the needs of the client.
 
Tom is interested in providing therapeutic services to individuals challenged with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and grief/loss.
