Abby Reynolds, BS

Abby obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa. She is currently a second-year master’s student specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler University. Abby has prior experience in the mental health field working with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults, and families in private practice and community-based settings. Abby is certified in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills and Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention. Abby has experience working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, sexual dysfunction, sexual trauma, low self-esteem, attachment concerns, identity development, and life transitions.  

Therapy Approach 

Abby works to hold a space for individuals to tell their stories and be curious about themselves in a way that provides emotional relief and healing. She looks to operate through a culturally humble and trauma-informed lens that supports and empowers individuals in their journey towards self-compassion, balance, and authenticity. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and seeks to work alongside her clients in creating a treatment plan that works for them. Abby utilizes an integrative theoretical approach, adjusting modalities and techniques accordingly to support clients in achieving their personal counseling goals.
